"Thanks to Joel, Michael, Lisa and Marci for the Great Burnout classes! I made it to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite! It was a 17.8 mile day hike, gained 3000+ elevation on way there then climbed the cables on backside of Half Dome up to the top ..   At the base of the Half Dome I just kept thinking... One really hard Burnout Class and I'll be on top :) The Burnout classes are the best and have really helped me over the past few months !

"Yesterday was an awesome day. I have been taking it easy due to a sore leg and was just getting out when I saw the young boy working with Janice. He has been through so much and has an attitude thatcould easily be the poster boy for HOPE!Words fail me... but my heart swellsknowing of the things I can observe because you have coupled therapy and fitness such that one can observe the other.

I love coming to the club for many reasons... but none more than watching the other people work at their efforts for better health. It inspires me tokeep going... my goal remains lofty but achievable... and that is to swim 50 miles in one week by next spring! Seeing that little boy yesterday certainly will stay with me every length of the pool.

" I recently had a bad fall in my home. The results of my fall could have been much worse if I had not been working out for the past 6 months. I do 3-5 hours of Water Aerobics and GTS classes every week.

Thanks to all of the people at Cleburne Fitness Center, both the staff and all of the new friends I have made, I have been able to keep up with my regular routine of exercise. For all of the seniors especially, I challenge you to get up out of your chair and come on out to CFC. I have learned that exercise is the key to keeping your bones strong. You will soon see differences in your total health, both mental and physical regardless of your age. I have lost both pounds and inches but most of all I have gained confidence and self-esteem I myself.?

"I do like the new cardio equipment and the set-up of the gym. I especially like that CFC is now recycling plastic bottles. I made that suggestion some time ago after I realized how many plastic bottles go through the gym in any given week. I have been a member for quite some time and I like that CFC strives to remain innovative while continuing to focus on peoples' health and well being."

"In 2005 I was sent to Cleburne Physical Therapy for a recurring back problem I had for approximately 12 years after surgery. I worked with Janice in the pool and then joined CFC to keep up my exercises that she had given me. About 2 years later I injured my shoulder and worked with Steve to rehab it. The shoulder was very slow to get better so after a year the surgeon thought he might have to operate again on it. I talked with Janice and she suggested working with Rena to hopefully recuperate.

So, in March of 2008 my wife and I started working with Rena to overcome my disabilities. Progress was slow and frustrating but we stuck with it for a year and then moved into to the G Fit program. Now we find that even though we are very tired after our classes we are able to do things that we couldn?t do for years. I can now walk and work all day at the ranch without thinking of back or shoulder pain.

I can also handle the heat and aerobic activities without a thought. My balance is better than it has been in years. When did all of this happen? I think it was gradually attained without noticing the subtle changes. Thanks for giving us back our health."

"I started doing water aerobics on May 25, 2009. I?ve lost over 20 lbs and a dress size. I have more stamina and I don?t hurt all of the time. I have arthritis and joined in hopes of accomplishing all of the above.

When I cleaned house, it was taking me 3 or more hours due to pain. Do a little, rest. Do a little, rest. Now it takes me 2 or less hours. I still have to rest but not as often and not as long.

I also have a smoothie at their Royale Smoothie Cafe for lunch sometimes. I still eat whatever I want, just not as much. I have a little more energy and I feel better about myself. Thanks CFC!?

"Both Cleburne Fitness Center and Cleburne Physical Therapy have made a big difference in my life. In 2005, doctors found a brain tumor in my head. After surgery, I went to CPT for several months to re-learn movement patterns and gain strength. Because of my disability, my new insurance provided a FREE membership to Cleburne Fitness Center thru the SilverSneakers program. I was able to continue my rehab at CFC and gain strength back. In 2008, I had to undergo another brain surgery. This time I went in prepared. With the help of CFC, I gained 20 lbs before my surgery (good weight!). Because of this, I was able to recover within 1 month of surgery and start back at the club. I am currently using the facility to rehab again. I am gaining back my strength, my vision, my balance and so much more. Thanks CFC!?
